Joerg Hempelmann brings strong expertise in communications, brand building, lifecycle management, digital strategy, marketing and an entrepreneurial spirit to his position as President of IPG Health Europe. He shares the vision to create game-changing marketing solutions for consumers, patients and healthcare professionals.
In 2018, Joerg took on the role of President of FCB Health Europe. Under his leadership, the network earned an enviable reputation with a comprehensive offering that combines science, strategy, and creative that delivers best-in-class services to clients. As President of IPG Health Europe, Joerg is the driving force in establishing and growing the IPG Health offering across Europe, which includes 19 offices in the United Kingdom, Germany, France, and Spain, with affiliates in Milan, Istanbul, Belgrade, Copenhagen, Amsterdam, Warsaw and Zurich.
With a strong focus on innovation, Joerg founded JNB Health Advertising near Frankfurt am Main in 1994 —a leading health communications company in Germany—which was acquired by McCann Worldgroup and merged with McCann Health in 2011. Following the acquisition, Joerg led McCann Health Germany, driving innovative solutions for the network’s healthcare clients.

Over his career, Joerg has worked in virtually every therapeutic category, from high science and OTC to devices and diagnostics, across every phase of a brand’s lifecycle. Prior to joining IPG Health, he worked for WPP and Sudler & Hennessey.
Joerg is a graduate of the Academy for Marketing and Communication in Frankfurt, Main (Germany).
