In the latest from Pharmaphorum, Caudex’s Charlotte Rowan-Green, Medical Director and Katelyn Low, Associate Medical Director, emphasize the importance of addressing the whole patient, not just their condition.
“Being diagnosed with a life-changing condition is scary enough without having to read through a list of all these different terms that you’ve never heard of before,” Charlotte said. “We should be meeting people where they’re at and giving them the materials they need, so that they can understand things.”
Katelyn also stresses that materials should strike a balance between being informative and empathetic.
“It’s about balancing hope and positivity with the reality of the disease,” she said. “We need to drive urgency while remaining sensitive to each person’s circumstances.”
