AREA 23’s Franklin Williams on leading the Pharma Jury at Cannes Lions 2025

With the prestigious role of 2025 Pharma Jury President at Cannes Lions, Franklin Williams, Executive Director of Experience Design at AREA 23, is stepping into the jury room with a goal to elevate diverse perspectives and ensure respect amongst the jury and for the work.  

When it comes to AI, Franklin notes that the jury will be tasked with “evaluating what AI enables ad agencies to do from a creative perspective and consider its role in expanding capabilities going forward.” 

“We want to do our due diligence with assessing the work and then pressure testing it — not just against itself, but also against the industry and where we want to go as an industry,” he said.
