McCann Health London’s Guy Swimer weighs in on 2024 holiday ads
This holiday season, Little Black Book asked industry experts to weigh in on the season’s best holiday ads. Coming from a health perspective, McCann Health London’s Executive Creative Director Guy Swimer said he was glad to see campaigns addressing mental health challenges.
He calls out one campaign in particular: “The melancholy joy of Tesco’s ‘#FeedYourChristmasSpirit’ was really interesting, with its willingness to confront the bitter-sweet memories the holidays sometimes bring, as well as an area not often enough broached by mainstream ads - the silent mental health struggles of young men,” he said. “All with a brand-centric focus on food as a binding tradition between past and present. Plus, a generous sprinkling of frosting and Christmas magic too; A lovely, thoughtful spot.”
