Mike Guarino
A self-proclaimed IPG Health “lifer,” Mike Guarino, Chief Commercial Officer, began his career with the network over 25 years ago. Over that time, he has served in pivotal leadership roles, helping to shape the network’s meteoric trajectory. Mike’s insatiable quest for “what’s next,” coupled with the network’s philosophy of proactive career management, have positioned him in the driver’s seat of many game-changing firsts.
Prior to the formation of IPG Health, Mike led numerous successful launches for then-FCB Health network’s most important, foundational clients like Merck. He was the first “transplant” to lead FCB Health’s West Coast office in San Francisco, at the forefront of the biotech revolution in 1998. Mike brought that experience back East, where he continued his launch stewardship, leading some of the first pharma blockbuster brands from Eli Lilly, Roche/Genentech, and GSK.
Mike’s next big launch was beyond just pharma. He spearheaded the launch of various IPG Health agencies, including AREA 23, setting the stage for the network’s now 45+ agency portfolio. Mike was central in establishing the driving values and principles that guide IPG Health agencies today and went on to realize yet another first as the network’s first Chief Strategy Officer.
As Chief Strategy Officer, Mike grew and integrated the network’s strategy offering that today numbers over 400 talented strategists and medical professionals across the network. Balancing creativity with innate strategic prowess, he embedded strategic planning, medical strategy, engagement planning, and social media strategy into the fabric of all FCB Health agencies.
Today, as IPG Health’s Chief Commercial Officer, Mike oversees the network’s numerous driving forces, including business development, strategy, communications, medical strategy, and more.
Mike is a graduate of Villanova University, where he studied the sciences, chemical engineering, and business management.
